Today we will depart Buenos Aires, but only for a night so that we can enjoy an amazing introduction to Uruguay. Our coach will pick us up at the hotel and transport us to the Ferry Port for a lovely journey to Colonia de Sacremento. From there, you’ll immediately be immersed in the charm of the Barrio Histórico, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cobblestone streets and beautifully preserved colonial buildings of Portuguese and Spanish influence create a unique atmosphere that transports visitors to another era. Highlights include Plaza Mayor, the old Mercado del Puerto and the iconic Faro de Colonia, offering panoramic views over the Río de la Plata.

The exploration continues with a visit to the Portuguese Museum, where exhibits provide a deeper understanding of Colonia’s colonial history and the Portuguese influence in the region. The collection of artifacts and historical pieces offers a fascinating glimpse into daily life during colonial times.

For lunch, enjoy one of the charming local restaurants, where you will have the opportunity to taste traditional Uruguayan cuisine in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

In the afternoon, enjoy some free time to browse local shops, discover quaint cafés or simply relax while taking in the peaceful atmosphere of Colonia.

At the end of the day, you will be transferred to Carmelo, where you will spend the night.

Dinner will be held at Carmelo Resort at the Pura Restaurant.

Narbona Winery Carmelo – Wine tasting + Lunch in Narbona
Today you´ll visit Narbona Wine Lodge, a historic estate set on 50 hectares of countryside and originally founded in 1909 by Juan de Narbona, one of Uruguay’s pioneering winemakers. Carefully restored while preserving its original character, the estate combines history, tradition and refined hospitality in a unique wine country setting.

We’ll enjoy a guided visit through the winery and part of the vineyards, where you will learn about the history of the property and the winemaking process behind Narbona’s premium wines. The experience includes a tasting of selected wines paired with local cheeses, highlighting the authentic flavors of the region.

Following the visit, savor a leisurely lunch at Narbona Wine Lodge, surrounded by vineyards and the peaceful countryside atmosphere of Carmelo.

In the afternoon, transfer back to the port of Colonia del Sacramento to board the ferry returning to Buenos Aires, enjoying once again the scenic crossing over the Río de la Plata.

Tonight’s dinner will be enjoyed at the La Parolaccia, where we’ll enjoy a meal of a different flavor

After breakfast, we will begin the day with a visit to Plaza Francia and its famous artisan market, where guests will have time to browse local handicrafts and enjoy the lively atmosphere. We will then continue to Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires’ most modern neighborhood, for lunch.

In the afternoon, guests may choose between attending a local soccer match (subject to the official fixture schedule) or enjoying one of the city’s outstanding museums,.

We’ll meet up again at the hotel, then head to Sagardi for dinner.

We will be picked up at the hotel at 9:30 AM and head to the traditional Mercado del Progreso, located in the residential neighborhood of Caballito, one of the city’s most authentic local markets where porteños still do their daily shopping. Together with Chef Paula Comparatore, you will explore the market, tasting mate, traditional pastries, and the classic “vigilante” pairing of cheese and quince paste. Optional tastings of choripán and empanadas can also be arranged at the market, allowing you to compare local flavors with the empanadas you will later prepare during the cooking class.

After approximately one hour at the market, you will continue to Bar Notable Montecarlo in Palermo for a hands-on empanada cooking experience and lunch.

During the class, you will discover the flavors of Argentina through the preparation of four regional empanadas inspired by the Northeast, Northwest, Central & Cuyo, and Patagonia regions. The experience includes a relaxed lunch featuring the market tastings, the freshly made empanadas, dessert, and a curated wine pairing with wines from different Argentine wine regions.

After our lunch and cooking class, we’ll embark on a culinary adventure in Buenos Aires’ Palermo neighborhood with a tour, designed to tantalize your taste buds. Led by a knowledgeable local guide, you’ll delve into the rich tapestry of Argentine cuisine, visiting four handpicked restaurants where you’ll indulge in a delightful array of at least eight dishes and drinks.

Throughout the tour, your guide will share insights into local culinary traditions, providing a deeper understanding of Argentine gastronomy. This immersive experience allows you to savor the flavors of the region while learning about the stories and ingredients behind each dish.

Join us on this gastronomic journey where food and drinks are included, promising a memorable exploration of Palermo’s culinary delights.

After breakfast, your guide will meet us at the hotel to explore the southern neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, uncovering the city’s origins in a comfortable vehicle.

Puerto Madero, located along the Río de la Plata, is a vibrant hub for gastronomy and business. Once a series of commercial docks, the warehouses lining its canals have been transformed into sophisticated bars, restaurants, and offices as part of one of the world’s most successful urban waterfront revitalization projects. Continue to Plaza de Mayo, the historical, political, and foundational heart of Buenos Aires, home to the National Government Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral, making it an ideal starting point for your city tour. Then visit San Telmo, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods and a haven for tango and the arts, where antique markets, cobblestone streets, and historic buildings create a distinctive bohemian charm. If visiting on a Sunday, the lively antique market at Plaza Dorrego adds a particularly vibrant atmosphere.

The tour continues to La Boca, famous for its colorful houses and traditional conventillos, and home to the legendary Boca Juniors Football Club, where Diego Maradona rose to fame.

Enjoy lunch at El Gran Paraíso Restaurant, located in the heart of La Boca, offering a unique dining experience in a historic setting. Its patio features a conventillo dating back to 1890, with its original wooden and tin structure intact. Guests can also explore the upper floor rooms, which provide beautiful views of Caminito’s vibrant streets.

We’ll have a bit of time at the hotel, where we’ll be transported to the Closed Door Restaurant for another wonderful meal for our final night.
